just got out of my fully paralysed state, where i had to lie in pain, with a hot water bottle on my tummy. am now in a semi paralysed state; at least i am able to sit up and use the computer. but the hot water bottle is still on my tummy as the pain's still there. this sucks. yhx, you'd have to take care of me 23% of the days in a year when i am paralysed. (7 x 12) /365 x 100. >......< you know i hate the word menses. what has it gotta do with men. wtf. we suffer lo. sigh. went to do some cleaning at my house today. brought hose in, brushes, scrubs, what not and scrubbed the whole kitchen. wtf, the previous tenant's gross. there aremany chicken or duck whatever bones behind the washing machine. wtf? simply too gross. plus you know if you dont' sweep an area for a few months there would be this collected dust particles? greyish in colour? have you seen black ones that look like moles. and see them at 10 sets at a time. eeew. im gonna have nightmare tonight. they broke one of the cupboard's 'legs' too so when we tried to shift it back to the original position it wobbled. HAHA. and they used a hammer to knock my metal door nob! wtfff. so its outta shape now. -.- oh and they still owe us $XXXX because the bank has insufficient funds and the cheque bounced out. great. how are we supposed to collect the XXXX amount now. its 4 digits. enough about my tenant. my ex. HAHA. something funny happened while cleaning up. there was this lizard that ran out. so me and mum just screamed. mum climbed onto the sink to sit. HAHA. and i continued being useless standing at the corner of the kitchen screaming while my dad hit the fking thing. the bloody thing is damn gross. it broke into two. and still moved. and the freaking tail was wriggling around. HAHAHAHA. mum was quite hysterical, shouting for dad to sweep the bloody thing out. did i mention that dad used one of the scrub we were using to hit it. he hit it too hard, and the scrub thingi broke into two. HAHAHAHAHA. he was amused at himself, i think. LOL! scrubbing the super dirty floor was exhausting. super. we should just hire maids/ayis to do it. don't say its inhumane. i think they'd rather there be a job. at least they're doing something decent, and taking a pay for it. okay la, i am quite 千金 i know. pffft. but what, the maids pay is higher than mine lo. they want the money to feed their family lo. got demand got supply, efficient society. simple economics. oh went down to idp today because there was a foundation fair for students who wants to study pre uni in aussie. so bro's myp couldn't get him into trinity college. reason being that it is equivalent to year 10 and they require him to be year 11. yep! apparently if you take the US papers you'd have to do year 11 too. only GCE O's don't need. People with siblings still in that school and does not wish to study till he finishes ib should just leave the school. mum is regretting she didn't put rex into sas or british school to take the o levels instead. jt, my mum got a list of ib schools in nsw in case your brother wishes to study near you/with you. guess if he studies in aussie he has two alternatives. one is to study ib there, the other is to do their australian cert, vce thingi and then get into a foundation college, for eg, unsw foundation college when he is of the age. why shld i help ingrates. through past experiences i have learnt that i should not. yet i still did. why. time and again you disappoint. if you treat me nicely, i will too. but no, you take things for granted. I am not obligated to help you know. I hope you'd learn to be more appreciative. It would make the world a better place. Thank you very much. ------------- tsu, looks like u are not the only one. I REFER to the report, "Seven major religious groups with annual incomes of over $10 million each and who heads them" (Sept 11). I am awestruck at the payscale of local church pastors. Many are paid more than chief executive officers (CEOs) of business entities. These churches are now like mega corporations. The question, however, is whether church pastors can justifiably draw huge salaries from the tithes and offerings which are meant for God's work. As a former City Harvest Church and Faith Community Baptist Church goer, I have given my fair share of offerings, hoping to see that 90 per cent of the money could be spent doing God's work. Little did I realise that much of it has been used to fuel the lavish lifestyles of the church founders. To circumvent the misappropriation of donors' funds, there should be clear guidelines on what church pastors should be paid and the ceiling for their salaries and allowances. From what I understand, these churches make it mandatory "in the name of God" for all true Christians to contribute 10 per cent of all their earnings to be pledged as tithes for the church. I remember these church leaders telling me that one would be "robbing God" if 10 per cent is not rightfully returned into God's kingdom (based on the scripture of Micah). However, the grey area is that the Bible did not specify what percentage the church leaders should draw from the collections. It is then up to the authorities to determine what is the ceiling that church pastors should draw in remuneration. Many mega church leaders feel that it is their right as God's ambassadors and spiritual leaders to command high salaries for doing the ultimate, which is God's work, but do they actually have a God-given right to exploit that? To draw a salary of $2 million a year would be considered excessive for a pastor who draws from funds given by the public, but to draw $20 million to $35 million per annum is ridiculous. |
