i heard that the prom price could be around 350-400/ person this time. O.O. errr, seriously expensive eh. but apparently they conducted a survey and most people are willing to pay the price for better food and environment. HAHAH. actually just bring very nice food and we'll be satisfied. (okay maybe i) but who doesn't want good food right. its like herzberg's 2 factor theory. food is motivation, no good food-hygiene factor- motivation go down. im sure don't need 350 to find REALLY good food in shanghai. even yin's only 188 jap buffet. wahahahaha. im hungry. somebody feed me. on a more serious note, i do not support the boycott of the prom cause it'd make it a lose-lose situation. why let them organize in the first place if 'we' wanna boycott it. makes no sense, stress again, lose-lose situation. shall not do anything that benefits no one. don't want to leave the school leaving a bad impression. don't wanna go must well tell them now. easier for them to make plannings. besides i think their budget would bust if we don't go. lost of economies of scale. besides i think the SCs are taking things seriously. (for once) they're pretty young, i mean surely younger than us so give them suggestions and feedback instead of hitting out at them. we organized it twice, think we all know its not easy trying to make it successful. i wouldn't say our prom was fun. HAHAHA. though not exactly not fun either. food's great, ambience nice, people interacted well. perhaps if we bring down our expectations we'd all be happier. besides in china good things come with a price. proportional. and i'm not willing to spend a bomb on prom. HAHA. why must it be formal anyway. think dressing in jeans and shirt is pretty free and easy. HAHAHAH. besides its cheap and save a whole lot of time. don't have to be afraid of tripping over smth in heels, or make up erm, smudging? wld be better for the dance floor too. HAHA. good for jloh, she wldn't have worry that she'd have no partner because everyone's ur partner in that big arena. spoke with mum just now, over lunch. we finally realized why bro strongly insisted in attending 4 more months of school in SSIS. for DP1. thought initially that it was his relunctance to leave his friends, which is understandable but it would not be the best decision to leave him alone in shanghai while we're all back in singapore. apparently mum spoke to bro the day before, and finally understood why he wanted to say. reason being he was afraid if he'd have to study in an international school in singapore, parents would have to pay for the school fees themselves. crazy ACS intl increased its price to ~2000S$ a month recently. that's bout the same as our *ahem add adj* school. he was worried that rents wld have difficult sending him to school and me to university if i study overseas. since company pays for schooling here he thought he cld help save 4 mths of school fees. HAHAHAHA. are guys all like that? why can't they just say it out and make their intentions known. tsk! anyway he's happy now. going back to sg to study after mummy told him some stuff. hahahaha. kay shall go off to study econs. never touched anything since yesterday. today's massage especially shiok. 1.5 hrs of heaven. xD |
