Officers at airport told to be polite WE REFER to the letter, 'Airport security staff unfriendly' (The Sunday Times. Sept 2), by Mr Nelson Quah. On Aug 11, there was a large group of passengers on the same flight as Mr Quah undergoing security checks at the airport. To ease human traffic flow and to ensure smooth checks for all passengers, Aetos officers advised passengers to move away from the screening area after they had gone through the checks. We apologise if the particular officer inadvertently came across as impolite. All travellers are treated equally in the course of security checks. The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority and Aetos have reminded officers to be polite and professional in the course of their duties. Had the same experience. On August 15th, when i took my flight back from singapore to shanghai, the people were so rude too! It's the first time i see the staffs there like that. Rex thought so too. And we weren't even together (which meant he wasn't rude only to me). He came in 15 mins later than me after his breakfast. That guy/them(forgot) had to show the black face to everyone. -___-. And please, the people were not blocking the screening area. Merely going through the process. Just happened that the flight was fully book hence more people had to go thru the checks (Duh). Ok whatever. lalala. Just hope that people like him won't give Changi Airport a bad impression. =) |
